Many people don't realize that we are one of America's largest providers of flat rate pricing for the plumbing industry. Our plumbing experts have perfected our famous plumbing book over the course of many years and many thousands of service calls. Our staff of expert plumbing technicians have just completed a major update and revision process of our popular flat rate pricing book for the plumbing industry. We have added repairs, brands, updated pricing, added technical notes, and much more. This is the most extensive update we have ever made to this plumbing book.

Our professionally designed plumbing database includes about 500 of the nation's most common plumbing tasks along with approximately 500 plumbing fixture installations. About 1000 plumbing tasks total. We have included what you need and left out the junk you don't use. You will find lots of tubular, faucets, stems, drain\waste, and drain cleaning. Of course you will also find plenty of sinks, lavatories, and toilets. We have also included approximately 10,000 popular plumbing items so that you can easily make your own tasks.

All items have been priced for you. We have worked hard to include the price that you are most likely to pay. We start with the manufacturer's list price and subtract the most popular discounts offered across the country. We are told that our pricing is very accurate. Software makes it easy to change pricing if you find that it is necessary.

Our labor time (labor allocation) assigned to each task is the result of careful work. We surveyed technician's, talked to managers, studied various journals, and examined manufacturer's warranty data to determine the proper amount of time. You can easily change labor allocation to meet your own needs.

Our experience has shown that many who are new to flat rate pricing quickly become concerned that there are not enough tasks to meet their daily needs. This is rarely true. The fact is that you will need an average of only a few hundred tasks to meet your needs. Think about what parts you order on a regular basis. You only do a small number of different things each day.

It is not possible to create the exact task for every possible situation and fit it into one book. You need to get used to the idea of using similar and generic tasks to meet your daily requirements. Use miscellaneous tasks (included) to meet unusual needs. If you do encounter the need for a specific task, you can easily and quickly create it. Print a new page (or section) and add that task to your technician's book during your next department meeting.

The major consolidators all use flat rate pricing and they don't carry books as large as the one that comes with Flat Rate Plus. We have many customers who have 300 to 600 trucks on the road. Their books contain only a few hundred tasks.

Our tests indicate that these repair and installation tasks will cover 95% of all your common daily plumbing needs. We have also included a complete section of "catch-all" miscellaneous repair tasks that were specifically designed to accommodate the other 5%.
