* Some records will need to be fixed. An example may be opening a payroll item, selecting the correct vendor, changing the account, and clicking the save button. Many of the adjusting entries will be done in-house by the data migration department in order to correct any data migration discrepancies.
** It may be necessary to do a series of adjusting journal entries to get certain accounts to mach those in your old program. These journal entries will be done on a year end basis. Many of the adjusting entries will be done in-house by the data migration department in order to correct any data migration discrepancies.
*** When it comes to paying payroll or sales tax liabilities, please do not trust your migrated Total Office Manager database to be fully complete. Verify important liabilities to be sure that you get them paid on time. During the Data Migration process, your Sales Tax and Payroll Liabilities will be adjusted as of the date of your Data Migration and the last day of the month prior to your Data Migration. Please do not rely on prior reports generated for dates prior to this when dealing with Sales Tax and Payroll Liabilities. These reports will be accurate from the date that you begin entering transactions into Total Office Manager.
**** We will fix these entries manually.
***** We use Adjusting Journal Entries and these work just fine.
***** The quantity on hand for a particular item will be accurate at the time the data migration was made (the last day you used QB) but the history may not necessarily be accurate. Your balances will be OK; you just might not be able to know for sure how many you had on hand on a particular date in history.
****** Total Office Manager allows for a 10 character invoice\sale\estimate number. QB allows more characters. If the length in QB is longer than 10 characters, we cut off the number at nine (9) and add a Tilden (~). For example, 100009299876 becomes 100009299~.
******* THESE RECORDS WILL NEED TO BE EDITED AND FIXED. YOU WILL NEED TO VERIFY, ADJUST, AND EDIT THE INFORMATION LOCATED WITHIN EACH OF YOUR EMPLOYEES PAYROLL SETTINGS. THIS WILL NEED TO BE DONE PRIOR TO RUNNING ANY PAYROLL OUT OF TOTAL OFFICE MANAGER.
******** If you have used Reimbursables for Job Costing purposes in QuickBooks, ALL Customer Reimbursable items will be marked and appear in the Reimbursables Menu for the Customer when processing Sales and Invoices.
Condensed Transaction will come over. You will likely have to make adjustments to your Sales Tax Liability and Payroll Liability.
Your Bank and Credit Card accounts will be reconciled up to the last reconciliation completed in QuickBooks®.

If you don't see something listed here, please call us. We may have just forgotten to expressly name the item.
