Who We Are Looking For

A Rockstar :). Aptora is seeking a PROVEN manager who will lead our support team in providing stellar customer support for our software. The candidate must be passionate about management and always looking for better strategies, methods, and techniques to improve at this role. The Support Manager will report directly to our HRD Manager.

We want a person who is educated, experienced, and knows what to do (or can figure it out). We want them to tell us what they need to do and not ask us what to do.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate’s entire focus is leading a team that provides exceptional customer support while performing basic management duties. You should continually be looking for better, faster, smarter ways to accomplish these goals. You will be FULLY supported in this role by our executive management and training team!

  • You must have five years experience with all major management areas: You must have performed these tasks firsthand: Hiring and staffing, firing, evaluating, reprimanding, coaching, leading meetings, setting goals, maintaining quality standards, delegating tasks, training staff, etc.
  • Must be relationship-focused, agile, and a great communicator.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline highly preferred (Business Management, Human Resources, Accounting, Teaching, IT, etc.).
  • You must be an excellent communicator in both written and verbal language. You will be writing emails and speaking on the phone a lot.
  • You must be a fantastic multi-tasker.
  • Be internally motivated and be able to motivate your team members.
  • You must be extremely organized. You will be making lists, taking a lot of notes, and referring back to them.
  • You should have extensive experience dealing with customer complaints via all methods of communication; phone, e-mail, text, and in person.
  • You should be able to re-direct your team when necessary.
  • You should be a follow-up master! We don’t want tasks falling through the cracks.
  • Technology should excite you but, you don’t have to be a genius with it! When learning new things, you are fearless!
  • You should be a fast learner and an out of the box thinker!
  • Bookkeeping, accounting, software, computer, and support experience are bonuses!

Your Responsibilities

You will be in charge of our technical support and training department. You will need to be or become a pro at bonding, connecting with, and reading people. These skills will allow you to build a team that provides our customers with outstanding support and services. Your most important duty is management. You will be responsible for hiring and staffing, firing, evaluating, reprimanding, coaching, leading meetings, setting goals, maintaining quality standards, delegating tasks, training staff, etc.

  • Manage a drama-free support team.
  • Answer and guide your team in finding answers to basic support questions. You don’t necessarily have to have the answer. Your primary responsibility is to manage the department.
  • Work with a rock-solid support team to guide them in following basic guidelines to seek answers to customer’s issues.
  • Collaborate with the entire company to coordinate training, support, and development for your team.
  • Develop and document policies and procedures.
  • Work with an executive management team to establish individual and team goals which will keep our company moving forward on the fast growth in this industry.
  • Set SMART goals related to your development and achieve them regularly. Be accountable for those goals.
  • Practice positive leadership!
  • Not be afraid to admit you are wrong and fix your mistakes.
  • Be a servant leader and put your team’s success first.
  • Coach and help with the develop and growth of your team.
  • Recommend budgetary and staffing needs to management.
