Contacts Only — Privacy Policy

Contacts Only ("the app") is published by Aptora Corporation ("we," "us"). This policy describes what information the app handles. The short version: the app collects nothing, transmits nothing, and cannot access the internet. There are no ads and no in-app purchases.

Data we collect

None. The app has no internet permission, no analytics, no advertising, and no user accounts. No personal information, usage information, or device information is ever collected by us or transmitted anywhere.

Your contacts

The app never reads your contact list and does not request the contacts permission. When you make Contacts Only your phone's call screening app, Android itself checks whether a caller is in your contacts: calls from your contacts ring normally, and Android only asks the app about callers who are not saved in your contacts.

The blocked-call log

If you keep the "log of blocked calls" option turned on, the app stores the phone numbers and times of blocked calls in a private database on your device only. This log never leaves your phone, is kept for at most 90 days, and you can clear it at any time from the Blocked Calls screen. Uninstalling the app deletes it. When the log option is off, screening events are kept on-device for up to one hour solely to power the "allow repeat callers" feature (and only while that feature is turned on — with both options off, nothing is stored at all), then deleted automatically.

The log lives in the app's private, sandboxed storage, which other apps cannot read and which Android encrypts at rest. The app opts out of Android's cloud backup, so its data is not included in your device's Google backup.

Your settings

App settings (such as whether blocking is on) are stored on your device only.

Data sharing and sale

We do not share, sell, or disclose any data — we have none to share.

Children's privacy

The app is a general-audience utility and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above. Because the app cannot transmit data, changes will never be retroactive to data already on your device.
