Key Responsibilities 

  •  Develop, document, and execute test cases, scripts, and plans. 
  • Perform functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing. 
  • Collaborate closely with development and product teams to understand requirements and ensure quality at all stages of the software development lifecycle. 
  • Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira. 
  • Validate database integrity using SQL queries and ensure proper integration between components. 
  • Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies. 

 

Qualifications 

Technical Skills 

  1. Domain Knowledge: 
  • Understanding of accounting principles and workflows. 
  • Familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero. 
  1. Testing Tools: 
  • Proficiency in Postman for API testing. 
  • Experience with API documentation tools like Swagger or OpenAPI. 
  1. API Testing: 
  • Deep understanding of RESTful APIs. 
  • Ability to test complex API workflows related to accounting operations (e.g., ledger entries, invoicing, tax calculations). 
  • Familiarity with data formats like JSON, XML, and CSV. 
  • Strong knowledge of HTTP status codes and error handling. 
  1. Automation: 
  • Experience with API test automation frameworks. 
  • Familiarity with using Newman for Postman test automation. 
  • Ability to integrate API testing into CI/CD pipelines. 
  1. Data Validation: 
  • Skills in validating data accuracy and consistency across APIs. 
  • Understanding of database testing and SQL queries for backend validation. 
  1. Microservices Knowledge: 
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and inter-service communication. 
  • Knowledge of messaging systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) used for asynchronous operations. 
  1. Security Testing: 
  • Familiarity with OAuth, JWT, and other API authentication methods. 
  • Ability to identify common security vulnerabilities (e.g., SQL injection, data exposure).
