Your Data - Aptora Mobile 360

The short answer. Ask your company. They created your account, they own the records, and they are the only ones who can delete them. Aptora helps them do it and will make sure they can.

Why your company and not us

Aptora Mobile 360 is not a consumer app you signed up for. Your account was created by the business you work for, inside their own system, and every record you make in the app is their business record. In privacy law they are the controller and Aptora is the processor: we hold the information for them and act on their instructions. If we deleted your records because you asked us to, we would be destroying somebody else’s business records without their knowledge.

So the requests go to them. What we guarantee is that they can act on it, and that we will help them do so promptly.

What you can do yourself, right now

  • Stop location sharing. Turn off location for the app in your device settings, or sign out. Sharing only runs while you are signed in.
  • Stop notifications. Settings, then Notifications, then turn this phone off. That deletes the subscription for this device.
  • Stop stamping photos with where they were taken. In your settings. Pictures already taken keep what they already have.
  • See what your device reports. The About screen shows the device, the operating system, the browser and the tracking ID exactly as this phone reported them.

Asking your company

Ask whoever handles this at your business — usually the office manager, HR, or the person who administers Aptora 360. Say which of these you want:

  • See it. A copy of the personal information they hold about you.
  • Correct it. Anything that is wrong.
  • Delete it. Your personal information, or your account.
  • Stop something. For example, location sharing.
  • Take it with you. A copy in a form you can use elsewhere.

Put it in writing and keep a copy. Depending on where you live, your company has a legal deadline to answer — typically 30 to 45 days.

What happens to your account when you leave

Your employer disables the account. After that you cannot sign in and the app holds nothing for you. The work you recorded stays with the business, because it is their record of jobs done, invoices raised and hours worked, and they are generally required to keep it. That is normal and is not something Aptora can override.

If you cannot get an answer

If your company will not respond, or you believe they cannot act on the request, contact us and say so. We will confirm to you that we have raised it with them and that the ability to act on it exists. We cannot make the decision for them, and we will not delete a business’s records on the word of one of its employees — but a request that has been ignored should not simply disappear, and we will not let it.

Write to helpdesk@aptora.com with Mobile 360 privacy request in the subject line, and tell us the name of the business you work for. Please do not send us documents, photographs of identification or any other personal information; we do not need it and we do not want to hold it.

If you are a customer of a business that uses this app

Your information — your address, your equipment, your invoices, photographs of work at your property — is held by the contractor you hired, not by Aptora. Contact them. If you do not know who to ask, they will be named on the paperwork or the invoice. Aptora’s company-wide Privacy Policy covers how we handle information on our customers’ behalf.

Your rights where you live

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correction, deletion, portability, and to object to or limit certain uses; and a right not to be treated worse for exercising them. These come from state privacy laws in the United States, from Canadian privacy law, and from other countries’ laws. Where they apply, they apply to your company as the controller and to Aptora as their processor. Neither Aptora nor, through this app, your company sells personal information or shares it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
