What are Uncategorized Accounts?

Are Uncategorized Income and Uncategorized Expense the same as miscellaneous income and expense? If not, how are they used?

Uncategorized Income/Expense is similar to the Miscellaneous accounts. They can be used interchangeably. You typically use the Miscellaneous accounts to record transactions that are not “assigned” to a specific account. The Uncategorized accounts are used in the same manner.
