What Our Developers Do

We have a small team of engineers that build and maintain a complicated software package that includes a robust accounting system on the desktop with a field service management system in the cloud. We work in Visual Studio with C#, .Net, and SQL Server. Our third party controls are mostly Telerik and Kendo. For reporting, we use Crystal Reports and Active Reports. We also do some work in VB6 and VBA.

We meet every Monday for ninety minutes to plan out our week and get an idea of what everyone is doing. We typically spend a couple hours in the morning fixing bugs and the rest of the day adding features or making other improvements. We have a quick meeting each Thursday afternoon to see if any adjustments need to be made to our priorities. Our developers are encouraged to speak their minds and are very much part of the overall design process of our software products.
